These legs were made for walking... and that's just what I do!!

My baby walking! He started his first tentative steps last week and now is happily walking all over the house. He still reverts to his turbo crawling speed when chasing the cat however.....

The new improved Mansfield Meander..... the off road tour!

What happens when you have a load that is too heavy, grass that is too slippery and gravity and momentum working against you..... bugger! Vic and I succesfully moving cows to his parents place and trying to avoid the cows trashing the garden but managing to do a nice job ourselves!

It is soooo cool to be a parent!!

It is mornings like this when I find myself loving being a parent...... I have the flu I feel terrible and my wee man is the best medicine I could have. I picked him up at 6am and took him into bed where he slept tucked under my arm with his wee head on my chest when he woke he pulled his dummy out of his mouth and gave me the biggest "good morning smile" (and then tried to shove his dummy in my mouth - something he often does).

He crawls around the house chasing me and Vic giggling his head off the whole time - he really thinks it is hilarious to play chase!

When either one of us comes into the room his little face lights up and he has the biggest smiles for us, he wanders around the house slapping his hands on windows, the couch, the floor and laughs at the sounds each different thing makes.

He loves people and performs to try and get a smile out of strangers... wether it be in the supermarket or the doctors waiting room - it seems to be Ollies mission to try and get everyone looking and smiling at him.

When he is sad and tired he is quite happy to sit contentedly on a warm lap and snuggle in.

The animals don't escape Ollies attention either - the appearance of Gabriel causes an erruption of giggles and excitement when spotted. Gabriel copes really well with this attention and often seeks Oliver out just for some rough love! If we go for a walk with one of the horses along in tow, Ollie will sit in the backpack singing to them. Oliver LOVES dogs - which suits me fine - hopefully he will be happy with getting a puppy to play with later on rather than a little brother or sister (might save on my argument resolution skills too!).

Dinner time is getting more and more fun too with Oliver wanting to have a try of whatever Vic and I are eating. I am proud to say that Ollie likes my favourite food too - Olives!!!
